The ice cream in Bangladesh pioneer began operations in 1964 in Chittagong under the name K Rahman & Co. Limited (KRC), operating out of a small factory inside the KRC Coca-Cola bottling plant. Igloo was acquired by the Bangladeshi government in 1971 following the country’s independence. Later in 1983, Abdul Monem Limited acquired KRC Limited’s whole manufacturing facility, which included the Igloo ice cream factory and the Coca-Cola bottling plant. The manufacturing of Igloo ice cream was carried out in Chittagong till 1990 when Abdul Monem Limited assumed complete control of the company. Even though Dhaka received the largest portion of the total revenue, supplying Dhaka’s demand resulted in a sharp increase in distribution costs.
Product Selection: Compared to its rivals on the market, Igloo has the largest selection of ice cream. August 7, 2011, saw the incorporation of TAUFIKA FOODS AND LOVELLO ICE-CREAM PLC. (TFAIL) as a Private Company Limited by shares under the Companies Act, 1994. The company plans to open an ice cream manufacturing facility with a 50,000-liter daily production capacity at first, with the possibility of growing. LoveLLO is the brand name of TFAIL’s ice cream. The project’s location is in Valuka, Mymensingh, a significant industrial area in the nation.
LOVELLO Ice Cream is manufactured using premium imported ingredients and cutting-edge technology. A range of exceptionally delicious ice creams, including Hidden Heart (3 Flavors in 1), Heart Beats (2 Flavors in 1), Toffy Beats, Hazzle Beats, Sixty-Nine Doubler Flavor Lolly, 50ml mini cup, 750ml container, and many more, have been released by LOVELLO in response to consumer demand and taste across all classes and segments. As a statement of distinction and variation, it has introduced to Bangladesh for the first time Premium quality Shahi Khajur Malai with 100% natural Khajur Flavor, Mini Cone, Couple Tub, Hidden Heart Single, and Heart Beats Single in mini.

Concerned about kwanza is the Sanowara group. Since its founding in 1997, Kwality has produced 24,000 cc of ice cream annually. With the BLOOP brand, Golden Harvest Ice-Cream Ltd. is a recent entry into the Bangladeshi ice cream market. According to estimates, Bangladesh’s ice cream market was worth BDT 10 billion in the 2014–15 fiscal year and is expected to increase at a steady rate of about 12% annually. With the help of Tetra Pack Sweden, Golden Harvest has established a brand-new facility, which is run by a highly skilled Danish production manager. The brand comes in about forty different varieties, such as sticks, cups, cones, sorbets, calippo, tubs, cakes, and many more.
- SAVOY
Since 1950, Savoy has been providing the greatest ice cream, adapting over the years to Bangladesh’s shifting tastes and way of life. In the beginning, the business produced baked goods and confections exclusively for British officers and foreigners living abroad. Savoy’s ultimate goal is to provide delectable ice cream while upholding global standards for food quality and hygiene, all while satisfying the needs of regular consumers. In response to Bangladesh’s widespread demand, Kazi Food Industry launched a second brand, Za ‘n Zee, for common consumers in 2014, following the launch of Bellissimo. Children and the younger generation were the new brand’s target market. Even though Za ‘n Zee is only six years old, Shakib Al Hasan, the brand ambassador, has helped it become relatively well-known among youth. Nonetheless, the ice cream’s quality is really addictive, and the costs are also fair. Bellissimo and Za ‘n Zee are both vying for a larger portion of the market.
