An important part of Bangladesh’s economy is agriculture. 12.6% of Bangladesh’s GDP, or gross domestic product, comes from this industry in 2020. Approximately 55% of the workers in the crop sub-sector in the late 1990s were involved in rice cultivation alone. The agricultural industry employs about 44% of Bangladesh’s labor force overall. As a result, the agricultural sector continues to have a significant influence on the output and employment of Bangladesh’s economy. In this article, we will take a look at the tractor market in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is a developing nation, and its recent successes are a result of its agriculture sector’s steady expansion. Even with impressive performance metrics, the nation’s agricultural productivity remains incredibly low. The scientific community is in agreement that farm mechanization, by guaranteeing timely operations and reducing related expenses, could promote the agricultural sector’s future growth. This is especially crucial to reduce the negative consequences of climate change, of which Bangladesh is a prime sufferer. Many have argued that farm mechanization is necessary, particularly during periods like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the epidemic started, numerous regions of the nation have hurriedly implemented combined harvesters to protect millions of hectares of mature paddy grains from the impending threat of an early flood. Similar programs in other agricultural domains, such as precision agriculture, spraying, and transplanting, may also raise the nation’s total agricultural output. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the benefits and drawbacks of agricultural mechanization in Bangladesh in light of significant recent advancements.
